We don't ask what your practice is,
We don't ask where you're going with it.
We don't ask for artist statements, project proposals or promises.
You don't even need to be a musician. Just be yourself.
And separate the garbage :)

Ikalto Micro Art Residence was established in 2018 as a response to the situation where artists were expected to be social, political, and productive.
We found age limits, degree requirements, and other expectations that had little to do with making art.
We found that many residencies had already decided who an artist should be before anyone arrived.
We found so many places where we did not belong that we founded one we did. As there is nothing wrong about being politically engaged, it is also no wrong to seek asylum in art.
P.S. Artists have no expiration date.
